바빌론(Babylon)과 마르두크(Marduk)

마르두크(Marduk) 또는 마르둑은 아무리족의 신으로 바빌로니아의 수호신이었는데, 바빌론이 번성하면서 바빌로니아 판테온의 주신이 되었습니다. 창조, 물, 농경, 정의 등을 관장합니다. 에사길라(Esagila)는 마르두크에게 봉헌된 신전이었습니다.
