미국에서 1월의 탄생화로 겨울에서 이른 봄에 걸쳐 피는 작은 흰 꽃입니다. 1~5월에 피는데 대부분 겨울에 춘분(북반구 기준 3월 21일)이 오기 전 개화합니다.
