미국 코네티컷주의 주도 하트퍼드에 위치한 미술관입니다. 1842년 설립되었으며, 1844년 개관하였습니다. 미국공공미술관 중에서 중단없이 운영한 가장 오래된 미술관이라고 합니다.

코네티컷주에서 가장 큰 미술관으로 유럽 바로크 미술(European Baroque art), 고대 청동상(ancient Egyptian and Classical bronzes), 프랑스와 미국의 인상주의(French and American Impressionist paintings), 허드슨 리버 스쿨의 풍경화(Hudson River School landscapes), 근대거장(modernist masterpieces), 현대 작품(contemporary works), 초기 미국 가구(early American furniture), 장식 예술(decorative arts) 등 다양한 작품을 소장하고 있습니다.
