미국 보스턴에 위치한 미술관입니다. 보스턴 미술관(Museum of Fine Arts, Boston)에서 멀지 않은 곳에 있습니다.

Isabella Stewart Gardner가 자신의 소장품을 대중에게 영구히 공개하기 위해 설립한 미술관으로 미술관 이름도 그녀의 이름을 따서 붙여졌습니다.

ㅁ자 모양의 건물은 중정이 있고, 건물도 아름답습니다.

유럽, 아시아, 미국 등에서 수집한 회화(paintings), 조각(sculpture), 태피스트리(tapestries), 장식예술(decorative arts) 등을 소장하고 있습니다.

가드너가 수집하고 전시한 작품들만 회화(paintings), 조각(sculptures), 가구(furniture), 직물(textiles), 은세공품(silver), 도자기(ceramics) 등을 합하면 7천 5백점이 넘고, 그 외에 희귀서적 1천 5백권, 전세계에서 모은 고대 및 중세 물건(archival objects) 7천여점이 있다고 하네요.
