두 개의 풍차(two windmills)라는 이름의 카페 데 더 물랑은 물랑 루즈(Moulin Rouge)와 물랭 드 라 갈레트(Moulin de la Galette) 사이에 있어서 붙인 이름입니다.

물랑 루즈에서 본격적으로 몽마르뜨(Montmartre) 언덕이 시작되는 르픽 거리에 오르자마자 모퉁이에 보이는 카페로 내부는 바(bar)와 작은 테이블들이 있습니다.

영화 아멜리에(Amélie, 2001)의 촬영 장소가 된 이후 더욱 많은 사람들이 찾는 카페가 되었습니다.
