디리스킹(De-risking)은 국가나 기업이 잠재적인 지정학적, 경제적 위험을 완화하기 위해 특정 국가(주로 중국)에 대한 공급망 및 경제적 의존도를 낮추고 거래선을 다변화하는 전략을 뜻합니다.

과거에는 경제계를 완전히 분리하자는 의미의 '디커플링(Decoupling·탈동조화)'이 자주 언급되었으나, 현실적으로 세계 2위 경제 대국과의 완전한 단절은 불가능하며 세계 경제에 너무 큰 충격을 준다는 한계에 부딪혔습니다. 이에 따라 최근 글로벌 경제 및 물류 뉴스에서는 완전히 관계를 끊는 대신, 반도체, 배터리, 희귀 광물 등 '핵심 전략 산업'에서의 취약성만 정밀하게 줄이고 일반적인 무역은 유지하는 실용적이고 세련된 접근법인 디리스킹이 핵심 키워드로 자리 잡았습니다. 이로 인해 글로벌 물류망은 '니어쇼어링(인접국 이전)'과 '프렌드쇼어링(우방국 이전)'을 결합한 형태로 복잡하게 재편되고 있습니다.

 

De-risking

De-risking is an economic and supply chain strategy in which countries or corporations aim to mitigate potential geopolitical and economic risks by diversifying their trade networks and reducing over-reliance on a single nation (frequently China).

Previously, the term "Decoupling"—meaning a complete severance of economic ties—dominated discussions. However, completely severing ties with the world's second-largest economy proved highly impractical and economically damaging. Consequently, recent global economic and logistics news has shifted toward De-risking. This represents a more pragmatic, surgical approach: safeguarding and diversifying supply chains only in critical sectors (such as semiconductors, batteries, and critical minerals) while maintaining broader, non-sensitive trade relations. As a result of this trend, global logistics networks are being rapidly restructured through a mix of nearshoring and friendshoring to build resilience.
